The implementation of social science studies is one of the core tasks of the GES. The thematic focus of the studies is on the internationalization of higher education systems in Germany and Europe and the international mobility of students, scientists and highly qualified workers. In addition we are conducting evaluations of programs run by state actors and scientific and funding organizations (e.g. AvH, DAAD and DFG). The following services are regularly provided by the GES as part of empirical studies:
- Conceptual design and development of empirical studies, programme evaluations etc.
- Design and development of questionnaires, interview guidelines etc.
- Conducting of surveys, online surveys and interviews, case studies etc.
- Data analysis, reporting, presentation of findings
